Thank you Kay for your kind words. You will be happy to know that Shirl had a good report and doesn't need to see the oncologist till this time next year. Much relief for us.

We took our niece to lunch at a very nice bistro . Nothing too good for that little sweety. She is doing well and is receiving the same radiation treatments that Shirl had four years ago. After Shirl saw the oncologist we left and shopped at a music store I found on the net . We ended up buying two books of popular music and I don't mean that crap thats popular today. While there the owner was kind enough to give us a demo of a Yamaha DGX-530 portable keyboard with 88 keys. Its sampling was quite a contrast to my 61 key keyboard. That 530 is definitely in our future.

Isnt there a danger in the way the media is hyping swine flu that if the cases are mild and the death toll extremely low that the public ignore the hype about some epidemic that may be very bad. Ya know, crying wolf too many times.

Two things have struck me in this swine flu hoo haw one is the belief circulating that swine flu can be contracted from eating pork and two that masks will prevent catching the flu. The flu is caused by a virus those masks only stop most bacteria if the mask is properly made.Viruses are far, far, far smaller than bacteria.

Anyway a manufacturer of those masks has seen its stock soar proving once again the old adage that nobody ever went broke under estimating the basic stupidity of the general public.

I am delighted for Shirl -- and you? Seriously -- however would you get along without your best gal? :)

I wish I had two good hands so I could do the keyboard thang -- and the Yamaha sounds awesome.
