Still recovering from the dastardly cold and on the loose today since the love of my life is taking part in a golf tournament whose aim is to raise money to buy a digital mammography machine for our hospital.
Its 69 months since she was diagnosed with tumor in her left breast that was removed and then the site radiated in 27 treatments. She doesn't care for the term "survivor". Its passive. She calls herself a warrior because she says that the fight goes on against that evil scourge. She has a lot of fight in her.
She is a co-facilitator of the local cancer survivors support group here. She has seen in her work with hospice the sorrow, the devastation and the anger caused by cancer.
She has recovered from the ravages of the treatments and the bad side effects of the drugs.
She is a warrior and I love her.
