Remembrance Day

Watching the Service from Ottawa this morning I was reminded of something that I would like to pass on.Canada has been called the peaceable kingdom.A country of citizens peaceable by nature no martial airs ,no wearing of our love country in everyone's face, its not our way.

[Image]   We are not a warrior nation, we are not a warrior people but when our way of life is threatened warriors and damned good ones spring from amongst us to only return whence they came from after the threats have been defeated.   Looking at the faces of our old soldiers at the Service I was awed by the quiet pride of these men.Unlike their comrades who rest in the soil of Holland and France age has wearied them but they at the going down of the sun and in the morning remember their fallen brothers.
