Snowy memories

  This sentimental old codger was despairing of a white Christmas till this morning.Snow is falling here and it is the stuff that is ideal for making snowballs and snowmen,bonus! I have many fond memories of snowy Decembers that insured that Christmas would be white. I remember the weather forecast then 'snow followed by little kids with sleds'.
  A nearby hill  made for hours of fun with sleds and toboggans,even trudging back up the hill was just
fun also.
  Then it was inside our house to dry off our boots and mittens have some of Mom's delicious hot chocolate topped
with marshmallows to wash down peanut butter and homemade jam sandwiches and after that outside  to make a fort to defend with snowballs.
