Sufficient Unto the Day
I was commenting at a friend's blog about living in the day when I started to get carried away with the comment and dropped part of it. In the comment I mentioned that my wife had found a site that when one entered one's date of birth it calculated how many days up to the day of entry one had lived .Mine was 27585 days, whew!!
That inspired me to write this: Only the Good Lord truly knows the number of my days on His Earth, hence I take comfort in that and leave it in his hands.
Knowing this maybe accounts for my peace of mind inspite of having a serious life-threatening problem with my heart.
That I also leave in the hands of the God given skilled doctors and their knowledge.
The Lord is truly the good shepherd as described by the psalmist.
As for living in the day, well Jesus spoke about that.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

I find consolation in the moments and I try and make each one count. One of my mottoes that I had framed is:
"Grab each day as it arrives and french-kiss it to the ground!"
Our lives are just a series of moments.
We are stardust.

Thanks for that WWW.
"We are stardust"
I like that!
Perhaps we were the stuff of stars before we were born and we return to that stuff after we die.
