Alan Turing

Happy 100th Birthday to Alan Turing.
For good or ill he  ushered in the age of the computer. From a 1936 paper on computable numbers he was quoted the following " It is possible to invent a single machine which can be used to compute any computable sequence." He later followed this up by showing exactly how such a machine could be built.

There is a fine article in  the Atlantic  this month:Alan Turing
He was probably more higher in the genius intelligence department than Einstein.
