My wife.......

   She would not brag about it so I will.

 Tomorrow my wife will take part in the Run for the Cure only, and I tease her, she will walk in it.She will be going with her niece who has had both breasts amputated in an effort to halt the spread of the aggressive form of breast cancer. She is only 45.

   Shirl's doctor is also taking part in the event. She is 47 and has been battling the scourge for six years a battle that included a double amputation of the breasts.

   Notice something here? For some reason the aggressive form of this cancer is more prevalent in young women.I have just cited two examples, there are more.

  

   Because of both her dearly loved niece and her much loved doctor Shirl has raised (and she is a woman who is reluctant to ask for money) four hundred dollars not in pledges but in cash.

     Any readers of this blog know how much I love and respect this wonderful woman. She aint perfect just damn close. I wish that you all could meet her.
