Like the picture? I took it a few years ago. This morning the Big Sound is frozen three quarters of the way across to the far shore and covered in snow. It is also not safe yet to travel on. Last winter the Sound never froze .I believe that this had never happened before in the living memories of old timers here.
We are in a deep freeze here that is only mitigated by no wind and no wind chill. Oh well only about eight weeks to go.

Doesn't it look like frosting on a cake, though?
We're the same out here at the edge. Coldest winter in forever and the bay solid until the sun starts melting it a bit.
